A Farewell to Jenny
It is with a sad heart that we report that Jenny the donkey has passed away this evening. She was born in 1983 to Carolyn the donkey at Magruder. While Jenny was the most stubborn of our current donkey friends, she was much loved by all the people she came in contact with. Jenny helped children and adults to experience a bit of God's creation at camp that they might otherwise never know. Her sneaky treat stealing and jealous tendencies will be missed by us all.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about Jenny! I didn't know her very well, but I remember her as a nice little donkey with a cute name. I know having the donkeys must create quite a bit of work for the staff (especially when one considers the off season too!), but I think they are really a fun learning experience for kids attending camp. Thanks so much loving those donkeys Camp Magruder Staff! --Kebby Jones
