Earth Day

Earth Day began in 1970 when 20 million people across the United States worked together to increase protection of the environment. 44 years later, more than a billion people around the world celebrate Earth Day and the call to environmental action.

A few of the ways we participate in creation care at Camp Magruder are: composting, gardening, recycling, re-purposing materials, beach clean-up, and environmental education programs. What will you do to celebrate and care for the Earth today, this month, this year?

"You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make." - Jane Goodall

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtfully committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it't the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
