Meet the 2016 Staff: Rikki Earle
As the summer gets closer, we want you to get to know our Summer Staff a little bit better. We got our 2016 staffers to tell us a little more about themselves. We hope you'll get a chance to meet all of us this summer, because we are excited to meet you. Our next staff profile is for Resource Staff member Rikki Earle.
Name: Rikki Earle
School/Job: I’m a 4th year at Western Oregon
University. I work as a student leader for the Peer Mentor Program on campus.
Major: I am currently declared as a double degree in
ASL(American Sign Language) Studies and Communications with a minor in Special
Education and Rehabilitation Counseling. I am considering changing to an
interdisciplinary studies degree where I will have 4 different focus’ ASL
Studies, Communications, Special Education, and Psychology.
Favorite Color: My favorite color is green, but not just any
green. Lime green, the limyest of greens it makes your eyes hurt.
My greatest spiritual gift is: My greatest spiritual gift is my ability to find
joy in the little things.
Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what
is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Favorite Camp Magruder Activity: My favorite camp activity is greased watermelon
football in the lake
Favorite Food you’ve had in the Magruder Dining Hall: My favorite camp food would definitely be the
oatmeal in the morning with salal and strawberries
Which actor would play you in the movie about your life? I would definitely have Melissa McCarthy play
me!
What is your spirit animal? A Bear
Favorite get to know you question: If you were stranded on a desert island, what
three things would you bring with you and why?
Ideal Vacation Spot: Ireland
Dream Job: My dream job would in some way involve me
advocating for and working with men who have been involved in dating violence,
have been sexually assaulted or been in domestic violence situations.
Fun Fact about me: I can break an apple in half with my hands
Something you want to say about this summer: I am so excited to be spending another glorious
summer at Magruder. The connections I’ve made throughout all my years at camp
are ones that I will cherish forever and I can’t wait for all the new faces
that will walk through the gates.
