Meet the 2016 Staff: Dawn-Hunter Strobel

As the summer gets closer, we want you to get to know our Summer Staff a little bit better. We got our 2016 staffers to tell us a little more about themselves. We hope you'll get a chance to meet all of us this summer, because we are excited to meet you. Our next staff profile is for Resident Counselor, Dawn-Hunter Strobel. Name: Dawn-Hunter Strobel

Hometown: Weeeeell I was raised in Joseph, Oregon and consider that home but when I was 12 I moved to Kingsport, Tennessee where I still live and I consider this my hometown too. I have moved around a lot as a product of my dad being a pastor.

School: Graduating from Dobyns-Bennett High School in a month, attending Willamette University next fall.

Major: Theatre

Favorite Color: I want to say all sunset colors but that’s just so broad so sunset Yellow (which could be a number of different yellows but hey the sentiment is the same)

My greatest spiritual gift is meeting people where they’re at and taking them for who they are.

Favorite Bible Verse: Philippians 4:8

Which actor would play you in the movie about your life? I want to say a younger Audrey Hepburn (if time travel were possible) but honestly probably Jennifer Lawrence.

Favorite get to know you question: What are you passionate about?

Ideal Vacation Spot: Germany but also..everywhere else ever.

Dream Job: Theatre teacher/director. For a while I thought I wanted to teach theatre for secondary school but I’m liking the idea of high school. We shall see what the future brings.

Fun Fact about me: I am a published author.

Something you want to say about this summer: I am overwhelmingly excited to be in my favorite place in the entire world all summer! I look forward to working with all of you and having some serious God encounters.
